Millvale Music Festival - Sat, May 13

Being the proud home of Mr. Smalls since 2002, Millvale is accustomed to being invaded by music fans.

On Saturday, the whole town will be hoppin’ for the very first Millvale Music Festival, a free event that will highlight 120 Pittsburgh bands at 16 venues.

In addition to a handful of clubs and bars that normally present music, there will be five outdoor stages, galleries and a church presenting a mix of punk, metal, indie, folk, blues and jazz. The main room of Mr. Smalls is booked with ’90s punk band Choking Victim, but the Funhouse upstairs has a lineup of four bands, including Drowning Clowns, which features owners Mike Speranzo and Liz Berlin.

There also will be street performers and food trucks.

Parking is not easy in Millvale, but there will be free shuttle service from the Mt. Alvernia Convent and Millvale Athletic Association Fields, as well as a Z-Trip stand.Millvale Music Festival
