Empty Bowls 2016  
The annual Empty Bowls dinner serves up a simple meal of soup and bread as a reminder that too many people throughout our region are facing hunger with “empty bowls”. This year’s event benefiting Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and Just Harvest will feature artisan pottery for guests to take home; soups from 32 restaurants; children’s activities; an auction featuring local artwork and celebrity-autographed bowls; and a host of celebrity soup servers. 

New this year - two available seating times:
1:30–3:30pm
4:30-6:30pm

Orchid Show 2016

The annual show is this weekend at the Phipps Garden Center.  The theme for this year's show is "Orchid Getaway," and the beauty, variety, size, and color of the orchids will provide a refreshing break for a cold winter day. Thousands of orchids will be in full-bloom, and the event will be a great opportunity not just to admire but also learn about and acquire orchids. The show will include orchid exhibits, free educational seminars, and plant raffles and sales by twelve vendors from all over the eastern United States
