Girls Rock Science Weekend
Saturday, Sept. 24 (10-7) and Sunday, Sept. 25 (10-5) 
 With hands-on activities and STEM Chats with professionals in the field, this event is designed to get girls of all ages excited about science and technology. Activities will acquaint girls with a wide range of STEM careers. Drop in when you can: no advance registration required. Find out more

Activities include opportunities to:
• Talk STEM with Tristin Mays, star of new CBS series MacGyver from om Noon-4 pm on Saturday. Hear how her character Riley Davis uses her knowledge of computer coding to help MacGyver out of some sticky situations. Mays' TV credits include Supergirl, Switched at Birth, and The Vampire Diaries.
• Check out the Construction Zone to explore careers while participating on hands-on projects.
• Bring the little ones to explore the new Girls Rock Science Pre-K area, sponsored by Tender Care Learning Centers.
• Check out the coding and robotics area.
• See what cool activities local school districts are doing in the classroom to learn about STEM.
• Solve a crime at the Forensics Lab! See how your fingerprints show up on evidence.
• Watch the battle of the I BOTS in the on-site arena, check out the Z Space computer, and dissect a butterfly.
• Learn to be a pharmacist, and explore how to calculate dosage and how to fill prescriptions.
