Water Weekends - Carnegie Science Center


Lots of interesting activities:

Be a citizen scientist, and bring a sample of your own water for testing. A testing probe will record data, such as pH, turbidity, and nutrients. Then, mark on our map where your neighborhood is located.

 Investigate animal tracks to discover the animals that rely on our rivers.

Learn the nature printing technique of gyotaku as you artistically capture the details of a trout.

Explore the properties of materials that cause them to sink or float in water.

See what causes a submarine to dive below the ocean's surface.
