Midsummer Night's Jam

Midsummer is a great time for berries, so what better way to spend a midsummer night than learning how to preserve berries to make jam. 

Learn techniques to stretch your leftover fruit harvest well beyond the growing season. Penn State Extension Food Preservation and Nutrition Educator will present the preservation process for berries using hot water canning. In addition to the demonstration, we will get our hands dirty and “berried” in making our own jam. Go to the Urban Homesteading Series for info about other events.
