Experience a theatrical folktale while hanging in a hammock

WHAT: Androcles and The Lion
WHERE: Trust Arts Education Center
WHEN: thru November 10, various times

Why You Should Go: Where can you watch a play while relaxing in a hammock? Budding young playwrights, actors and directors shouldn’t miss this North American premiere by Denmark’s Teatre Gruppe 38 and Carte Blanche.

With a contemporary twist on an age-old folktale, kids will experience a story blending suspense, danger and unexpected surprises. Follow the slave Androcles, who must flee after being accused of theft. Escaping into the sun-drenched Libyan desert, Androcles encounters fantastical creatures and sounds, including heart-pounding roars in the middle of the night.
Audiences will watch in hammocks suspended underneath a multimedia set featuring layered fabrics, scenic projections and colorful transparencies. Recommended for ages 7+.
Run time for the play is 40 minutes - great for children!  Info/Tickets
