Red, Ripe and Roasted - Sunday, Aug 28

Go to the Phipps to celebrate summer’s most bountiful crops at the 12th annual Red, Ripe and Roasted tomato and garlic festival. Held on the front lawn and in the Outdoor Garden, this family event features:
• Cooking demonstrations and tastings;
• Appearances from Pittsburgh Post-Gazette food writer and columnist Miriam Rubin, and Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Home and Garden Editor Doug Oster;
• Biggest, smallest and ugliest homegrown tomato contests
• Local vendors selling fresh tomatoes, garlic and other produce;
• Fun activities for kids!
