Shakespeare in the Park

Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Park opens its fall season this weekend with a production of The Tempest in Frick Park.  Magic, adventure, comedy, revenge, love – The Tempest has something for everyone! These FREE outdoor productions use the park environment as background and encourage the audience to become a part of the action.  Audience members are encouraged to bring a blanket and be prepared for whatever the weather may bring.  Very little stops this intrepid theater troupe!

The production will continue at a different city park every weekend in September.  All shows are at 2pm, Saturdays and Sundays.  Dates and locations are:

September 1, 2: Frick Park,
Beechwood Blvd. & Nicholson St., Squirrel Hill

September 8, 9: Arsenal Park,
39th St & Butler St, Lawrenceville

September 15, 16: Allegheny Commons West Park,
W. North Ave & Brighton Rd, North Side

September 22, 23: Frick Park,
Beechwood Blvd. & Nicholson St., Squirrel Hill
