TKST proudly presents the Pittsburgh premiere of Cuba’s own Malpaso Dance Company, and U.S. premiere of two new original works featuring choreography by the adventurous Trey McIntyre and the company’s artistic director Osnel Delgado with music by Grammy award-winning musician Arturo O’Farrill. Following their critically acclaimed international debut in 2014, Malpaso ignites the stage as the forefront of Cuban contemporary dance.This new tour marks the US and NYC premieres of Despedida, a new work by Osnel Delgado with original score by the sensational Grammy Award winning Arturo O’Farrill. It will be paired with the US an NYC premieres of a new work that is being made for Malpaso by Trey McIntyre, comissioned by The Joyce Theater and Jacob's Pillow.
