One of Pittsburgh's hotspots for local history is also one of the most beautiful during Fall. The Frick Art and Historical center is a great way to spend the evening relaxing while also learning about a side of Pittsburgh you may not have known! On the property is the main Frick house, Clayton, which has tours through each of the rooms. It's like touring a dollhouse, while seeing how the elite of Pittsburgh lived so many years ago. After the tour you can roam around the gardens, filled with gorgeous autumn trees and pathways. Take a break to stop and eat at the café, which is known for their pastries. Then, to finish off your day go into the car museum, admission into this one is free, and get a glimpse into automotive history. Most of the cars and carriages are in excellent condition, which really makes you feel as though you've stepped into a time warp!
Of course, the Frick Art Museum and Collection is right next door as well for all the art lovers out there. Each season they have an amazing selection of exhibitions for viewers of all interests.
