Free Jazz Downtown

 JazzLive is a free jazz concert series hosted by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. In the summer months it’s held at Katz Plaza, while during cooler weather it’s held at the Backstage Bar downtown

The Saturday Light Brigade Radio Show

Join radio host Larry Berger of The Saturday Light Brigade for a live radio program broadcast from the Museum's state of the art recording studio. Enjoy live performances, interesting interviews, riddles and games and say hello on the radio.

This is great fun for the participants as well long-distance family members who can listen in.

ReelAbilities Film Festival


Pittsburgh’s 2nd annual ReelAbilities Film Festival opens Wednesday with an acclaimed documentary about Hollywood’s portrayal of people with disabilities in movies and television, a personal appearance by the star of the groundbreaking reality show “Push Girls,” and an exhibit of revolutionary fashion photography featuring models with disabilities

 

Tickets for “CinemAbility” are $20 at the door/$25 in advance and $10 in advance for students (under age 26)/ $12 at the door. For all other films, tickets are $10 in advance/$12 at the door and for students, $5 in advance/$6 at the door. 15th Annual Fall FoodShare 
          October 23-November 27

 
 Participate in the 15th year of Fall FoodShare,  the Food Bank’s biggest food drive of the year! Giant Eagle customers can purchase ‘most needed’ items at their local Giant Eagle or make a cash donation.  
Volunteers are needed to help make Fall FoodShare a success, over 1,000 to be exact!  I volunteered last year and it was heart-warming to experience the response from Giant Eagle shoppers and staff! To register as a volunteer or find out more, click here and visit Volunteer Registration Page and select Fall FoodShare from the drop down menu. Kids as young as four can help and if you are a scout, you earn a badge!
