International Children's Festival, May 14-18

The EQT Pittsburgh International Children’s Festival, a division of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, will be presented from May 14-18 in a new home – downtown Pittsburgh’s Cultural District.
Seven featured performances, one colossal visual arts installation, over 30 free hands on activities, 30 free performances, and a giant pop up park will welcome children and adults of all ages.

Friendship Flower & Folk Festival - Saturday

 

The Friendship Flower and Folk Festival is a laid-back, family-friendly event full of fun with folk music, fresh flowers, raffles, demonstrations and good times! You’ll find locally grown flowers, vegetables, herbs and perennials for sale – the proceeds of which support the maintenance of Baum Grove, Friendship’s own greenspace. There will also be yummy food tables, raffle tickets, children’s items, a book sale and more.

Highland Park House Tour – May 10

The self-guided walking tour runs from 10am - 3pm through historic Highland Park neighborhood and starts at the rectory of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 5081 Hampton Street. There are 12 homes on the tour spanning several different architectural styles – from Modern to Victorian to a cottage-style home right out of Hansel & Gretel.

Tickets are available online thru May 8 and will also be available on-site the day of the tour ($20 in advance and $22 the day of the event).
