Family Priced Tickets at Pittsburgh Playhouse


During the last few performances of the season, tickets are family-priced at $7 each!Plays for children include:
Honk Jr. -  A modern version of The Ugly Duckling
Huck Finn - Mark Twain's classic
Afternoon of the Elves - The story of an elf village and a friendship between two girls.

Read the play outlines on the Playhouse website to make sure the plays will be enjoyable for the children you intend to bring.

Garden Club of Forest Hills continues flowering after 90 years

In honor of the club's birthday celebration continues on Arbor Day, April 26, with the planting of a columnar maple at Forest Hills Park with a plaque commemorating the club's 90 years of service to the community.
Other festivities include a plant sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 4; a plant auction from 7 to 9:30 p.m. May 8 with plants from members' gardens and local nurseries; and a flower show, 90 Years of Celebrating Women, at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 16 featuring arrangements designed by club members.

Earth Market 2013

IIn honor of Earth Day, Earth Market 2013 encourages Pittsburgh to get out and play in Pittsburgh’s beautiful parks, trails and rivers. Play encourages environmental stewardship by building relationships with the outdoor environment, maintains healthy minds and bodies through exercise and increases community and family bonds!

Friendship Flower & Folk Festival

 


This is a laid-back, family-friendly event full of fun with folk music, fresh flowers, raffles, demonstrations and locally grown flowers, vegetables, herbs and perennials for sale – the proceeds support the maintenance of Baum Grove, Friendship’s own greenspace.

There will also be yummy food tables, raffle tickets, children’s items, a book sale and more.
