Cuba’s preeminent early music ensemble, Ars Longa de la Habana, brings a group of 12 singers and instrumentalists for a very exciting program, Baroque Music of Cuba and the New World. This program is centered around villancicos (15th-18th c Iberian musical form) and celebrates eighteenth century Cuban maestro de capilla Esteban Salas alongside baroque works from Bolivia.
Fri., Feb. 23 at 7:30 PM - pop-up performace at the Phipps
The performance will include a question-and-answer portion, and guests will receive a discount to Ars Longa's full-length concert of Baroque music of Cuba and the New World, Saturday at 8:00 PM. Attendance to the pop-up performance is free with Phipps admission.
