Pack up the family, grab a blanket and head out to the lawn at Schenley Plaza this Friday, June 24, at the 14th Annual WYEP Summer Music Festival. This festival offers something for everyone with live music, kid’s crafts and activities and a handmade crafts marketplace.
The Kids and Crafters Area opens at 4pm. Participants include the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Opera, the Balafon West African Dance Ensemble, Gemini Children’s Theater, Hip Hop on L.O.C.K., the Innerbeat Drum School, LintPuppets, the Zany Umbrella Circus, and many others.
Also starting at 4pm is the I Made It! Market, an independent crafts marketplace offering local handmade crafts. Check out some of our many local artists and craftspeople and get great buys while you support Pittsburgh’s independent artists.
The music starts at 6pm and features:

8:30pm Fitz and the Tantrums
9:45pm Eli “Paperboy” Reed
