Harmony WeihnachtsMarkt

German food, entertainment, museum tours, horse drawn wagon rides and old time crafters provide something for everyone here! My toddler grandchildren loved the carriage ride and the food; the BierGarten was filled; and there was a nice restaurant for "indoor" eaters. (The market is held primarily outdoors.)

Three Rivers Film Festival Starts Friday

The 32nd Three Rivers Film Festival, Pittsburgh’s oldest and largest film festival, has added Waterworks Cinemas to its list of venues. (For former suburbanites like me this means there’s a parking lot!)

The Festival starts Friday and continues through Nov. 23 courtesy of Pittsburgh Filmmakers and Dollar Bank. The are four venues: Regent Square Theater (RS), Edgewood; Harris Theater (HT), 809 Liberty Ave., Downtown; Melwood Screening Room (MSR), 477 Melwood Ave., Oakland; and Waterworks Cinemas (WC), 930 Freeport Road near Fox Chapel and Aspinwall.

The full lineup can be found at Festival's website and ickets can be purchased in advance through ShowClix.com up until two hours before showtime and, if seats remain, at the door.
